The Young Professionals of the American Cancer Society (YPACS) is a community of the next generation of philanthropists, assisting the American Cancer Society with saving and celebrating lives in the fight for a world without cancer. Our organization is dedicated to advocating for cancer awareness and raising money for research and support in the Seattle area.
Founded in 2020, the Seattle YPACS board empowers emerging leaders to engage and network in the Seattle community as ambassadors to the American Cancer Society. United around a shared mission, members help spread awareness about early cancer detection and prevention, fundraise and volunteer to support ACS events, and mobilize young professionals to get involved in the fight against cancer.
Members of YPACS are exposed to the American Cancer Society’s network of more than 2 million volunteers worldwide. Board members are given the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, network with other professionals, and engage in countless service opportunities.
Our mission is to mobilize Seattle Young Professionals to further the impact of the American Cancer Society through community engagement, fundraising, and advocacy.
To equip all Seattle Young Professionals with the knowledge, resources, and power to end cancer as we know it.
For more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
